FAMILIAR ELEMENTS is a collection of observational drawings through a round composition. This view from the lens of a telescope is usually at the great expanse but I turned the view to be closer to home since during the 2020 lockdowns, the world population was requested to stay indoors. The 'elements' depicted are: thrown ballasts (rock particles), gathered hair, clouds, and aerial landscapes (virtual maps) with collected botanicals. I refer these observations to elements because they link to the core of what I use to inspire my practice. Particles for fire (similar to the stars), Mane for water (majority of human body is made of water) Vapor for air (gaseous giants of weightless mountains), and Topography for earth ( bits of the landscape).
